Mr. President, His Highness, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Karl Nehammer, Federal Chancellor of the Republic of Austria, met in Abu Dhabi on Thursday to discuss ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation in light of the two countries’ Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
At Al Shati Palace, the president of the UAE greeted Chancellor Nehammer and the delegation he was traveling with. He expressed his warmest wishes for the nation’s sustained success and development while congratulating the Chancellor on Austria’s National Day, which was commemorated on Wednesday.
The two sides expressed a desire to advance their bilateral ties, particularly in important fields like technology, energy, innovation, and food security, among others.
Nehammer and Sheikh Mohamed had a discussion about a range of regional and global issues that both of them found important. They emphasized the significance of taking action to reduce tension and foster communication in order to overcome crises that have repercussions for human rights, the economy, and food security.
A lot of dignitaries and government representatives attended the meeting.
On the Austrian side, attendees included Federal Minister of Finance Magnus Brunner, Federal Minister for Climate Action, Environment, Energy, Mobility, Innovation, and Technology Leonor Geoffsler, Austrian Ambassador to the UAE Etienne Berchtold, and other government representatives.
