The International Federation of Corporate Football (FIFCO) and Dubai Sports Council are working together to organize the three-day Championship, which will be held in Dubai for the second year in a row and end on November 6, 2022.
Sixteen teams from different continents will compete in the Championship, which will follow the rules for five-a-side football tournaments. These teams include three from the United Arab Emirates, two from Monaco, Bangladesh, India, Lebanon, Mali, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, and Tunisia, two from Oman, and one each from the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Switzerland. Teams that are taking part will be divided into four groups.
Teams competing in this Championship qualified after winning the corporate qualifying stage contested by each nation. The championship’s two most recent iterations, which were held in Dubai in 2021 and Monaco in 2019, respectively, were won by the Iranian Team, while the 2018 competition was hosted in Montreal, Canada, and was won by the Mexico Team.
On Thursday, November 3, 2022, at 9:00 p.m. in the Sheraton Mall of the Emirates Hotel, Dubai will also host the General Assembly of the International Federation of Corporate Football. Twenty Member States will attend in person, and the remaining Member States will participate via video conferencing.
