Sergey Lavrov, the Russian Federation’s minister of foreign affairs, was welcomed by Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the minister of foreign affairs and international cooperation.
The two top diplomats reviewed the cooperation connections and strategic partnership between the UAE and Russia, as well as the efforts of the two nations to improve chances for more cooperation on all fronts, during their meeting, which took place in Abu Dhabi.
Sheikh Abdullah stressed the significance of the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries in all spheres and the need to strengthen it during the meeting, which led to an exchange of opinions on relevant topics.
He expressed his satisfaction with the conclusion of the meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, which took place in St. Petersburg last month.
“The presidential meeting reflected the rapid growth in cooperation between the two countries,” the UAE’s top diplomat said. Sheikh Abdullah gave Lavrov and his delegation a dinner feast following the meeting in their honor.
Ahmed bin Ali Mohamed Al Sayegh, Minister of State, Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, and Dr. Mohamed Ahmed bin Sultan Al Jaber, UAE Ambassador to the Russian Federation, all attended the meeting.
