The Abu Dhabi Police Department announced on Wednesday that the speed limit on the Abu Dhabi-Al Ain Road has been reduced from 160kmph to 140kmph.
According to a joint advisory issued by the police and Abu Dhabi’s Integrated Transport Centre, this maximum speed will apply from Al Sad Bridge to Al Amera Bridge in the direction of Al Ain City.
The changes will go into effect on Monday, November 14, according to the authorities.
It is important to note that there are no speed buffers in the UAE Capital.
The police urged motorists to drive safely and to adhere to speed limits at all times.
