A record number of women of all ages and nationalities working for governmental, semi-governmental, and private organisations participated in the 4.5 km running competition of the 10th edition of the “Sheikha Hind Women’s Sports Tournament” at Meydan Racetrack.
The largest event of its kind, the “Sheikha Hind Women’s Sports Tournament,” is put on by the Dubai Sports Council (DSC) with the kind support of Sheikha Hind Bint Maktoum Bin Juma Al-Maktoum, the wife of Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al-Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai.
Hessa Al-Jasmi from Emirates Fly took first place in the locals’ category of the running competition, followed by Rawdha Al-Mansouri from DEWA in second place and Fatima Saeed from Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services in third place.
Lottie Lucas of the FOZ Concept Fitness Club took first place in the category for expatriates, followed by Latifa Al-Saroukh of the Dubai Club for People of Determination in second place, and Evita Stryalova of the Emirates Fly in third.
The padel tennis tournament will be held at the Padel Point Club from November 10th to 14th, with participants divided into two categories (locals’ category and open category). The squash competition will take place at Dubai Ladies Club from November 11th to November 18th. The CrossFit competition will take place on November 12th at Luna Ladies Sports Club.
The badminton competition will be held from the 14th to the 17th of November at Al-Nasr Sports Club, while the table tennis competition will be held from the 15th to the 17th of November at Al-Nasr Club. The esports competition will take place on the 18th and 19th of November at DSC’s premises, while the chess competition will take place from the 19th to the 21st of November at Dubai Chess Club.
Participants in the current edition of the Tournament, which will conclude on November 21, 2022, compete in ten sports: bowling, running, cycling, padel tennis, CrossFit, squash, badminton, table tennis, chess, and sports.
