One million nol Plus points will be up for grabs during a promotion that starts on Tuesday, October 25 for Dubai’s transit riders. Nol Plus points will be tripled for all users of public transportation during the promotion, which runs through November 1.
Members of the loyalty program nol Plus receive points when they use their nol cards to pay for services such as public transportation. These can later be exchanged for savings and deals.
This occurred as the 13th Public Transport Day’s specifics were made public by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA).
115 winners will be honored by the RTA. One million nol Plus points will be awarded to the first-place finisher, while the second and third places will receive 500,000 and 250,000 points, respectively.
This year, the authority wants to persuade locals to use public transportation in order to “enjoy a leisurely time rather than the inconveniences of driving” and to improve their physical and mental health.
The Dubai Fitness Challenge, which begins on October 29, coexists with Public Transport Day. Residents are urged to set aside 30 minutes every day for exercise as part of the effort.
Residents and users of public transportation have been asked by RTA to sign up online for the loyalty scheme.
The RTA’s anniversary, which begins on November 1, will be preceded by a celebration of Public Transport Day with the hashtag #SpeedUpSlowDown. The goal is to get locals and visitors to move faster to increase their physical activity and slower to improve their mental health.
