The Hamdan bin Mohammed Community Sports Initiative is the umbrella organization for the Emirates NBD Unity Run, which is sponsored by Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid al Maktoum, chairman of the Dubai Sports Council and the Higher Committee for the Protection of the Rights of People of Determination.
The run aims to promote diversity and the social inclusion of people of determination in the UAE under the leadership of the banking group’s flagship advocacy platform, #TogetherLimitless. It welcomes kids and adults of all ages and abilities and grants free admission to those who have perseverance as well as their friends and relatives.
A three-kilometer fun walk, a five-kilometer run, and a ten-kilometer timed run are all part of the event. To get to the finish line, participants can opt to run, walk, push strollers, or utilize wheelchairs. In addition to finisher certificates for everyone, there will be special spot rewards for the three-kilometer walk and trophies for the best three finishers in each race.
The Al Noor Training Centre for Persons with Disabilities and Senses Residential and Day Care Center, as well as Emirates Red Crescent, are two significant UAE institutions for children and young people with the determination that the Unity Run supports.
Emirates NBD Group’s chief marketing officer, Moadh Bukhash, said: “As part of our long-term commitment to the inclusion of people of determination, we are pleased to continue to support the Unity Run for the sixth year. We are delighted to enable this inclusive initiative that unites people across all walks of life in the UAE to come together and support a common cause.”
