The UAE President, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has extended peace, prosperity, and happiness to everyone enjoying Diwali, the Indian festival of lights, in the UAE and throughout the globe.
Sheikh Mohamed took to Twitter to express his best wishes in three languages: Arabic, Hindi, and English.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, had earlier today greeted all those who celebrate Diwali “on behalf of the people of the UAE.”
Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, wished “the friendly people of India a very successful Diwali” in Hindi.
The festival of lights was celebrated in the UAE with fireworks, bazaars, and special discounts. Yas Island, Abu Dhabi’s flagship leisure and entertainment hub, will feature a variety of activities till November 6, delivering exceptional experiences for community members. Dubai provided live entertainment as well as gold-winning competitions.
