The attack on Imran Khan, the former leader of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, is fiercely denounced by the UAE. In the face of violence and terrorism, the nation proclaims its sympathy with the people of Pakistan, a friendly country.
Imran Khan, the former prime minister of Pakistan, was shot and hurt on Thursday while leading a protest march into Islamabad, in what his supporters claim was an “assassination attempt.”
On day six of the protest march into the capital, Mr. Khan was waving to thousands of ecstatic followers from the top of a moving truck when shots were fired.
The assailant started shooting at the line of cars transporting Mr. Khan and party officials.
The UAE expresses its strong condemnation of these criminal acts that attempt to undermine security and stability and are incompatible with humanitarian ideals and principles, according to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
