Abu Dabi- A statement by the minister portrays the diversified and pluralistic culture of the UAE. She stated that UAE’s culture is highly sustainable and full of colors. In her statement during the Culture Summit Abu Dabi on Monday, minister Noura Al-Kaabi disclosed that the cultural pillars in the United Arab Emirates that foster growth, opportunity, and innovation are sustainability, diversity, and discussion.
Further, the Minister of Culture and Youth communicated that creative persons are valued in the UAE regardless of their origin, religion, or ethnicity. “We are determined to make our cultural sector an outlet of choice for creators from all over the world, so that they may express their ideas, and to make our museums and cultural forums platforms for dialogue and discussion through art,” she said.
The minister emphasized that perhaps the best illustration of the strategic course the UAE has taken to accomplish this objective is the unveiling of the National Strategy for Cultural and Creative Industries by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
These also include laws and legislations, the development of operational regulations, and the establishment of key infrastructure to develop the cultural environment in which creators of different nationalities and creative paths work together and have an opportunity to thrive,” she said.
She pointed out that the UAE continues to update its legislation, particularly the Copyright Law, in conformity with the most recent international standards to meet the demands of the cultural and creative industries.
