Channel 1: Website (Vehicle Registration Renewal through the Internet)

Insure your vehicle ahead of time.
To apply for the service, go to www.rta.ae and click on Renew Vehicle Registration.
Choose the most convenient method for receiving your permanent card.
Pay any penalties and/or transaction fees that may have been imposed.
Get a temporary registration card.

For Vehicles that do require inspection, how do you renew your vehicle registration?

There is no need to be anxious if your automobile registration renewal deadline is approaching because automobile registration renewal in Dubai has become very straightforward. The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) offers a number of choices to all automobile owners.

When your automobile registration expires each year, you have a 30-day grace period to renew it. as a result of the Dubai automobile registration is valid for 13 months, with one penalty-free month included. As a result, automobile insurance in Dubai is valid for a period of thirteen months. Owners of vehicles who do not renew their registration within the grace period shall pay an AED 500 fine.

Procedure

1. Pay your past-due penalties.

First and foremost, you must ensure that there are no outstanding fines on your vehicle. If you have any outstanding traffic fines, you must first pay them. You may do this by going to the RTA’s official website or by using the RTA Dubai app on your phone.

If you have any black points on your license, you must go to the police station to get them erased before you may register your automobile.

2. Have your vehicle inspected

New cars are exempt from the test for the first two years. As a result, every new vehicle may take advantage of the 24-month test-free period.

Following that, you must go to one of the RTA or ADNOC automobile testing locations to have your vehicle evaluated and get the ‘passed certificate.’
