To attend the 31st Arab Summit, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai, arrived in Algiers on Tuesday.
The two-day Summit began on Tuesday in the city of Algeria, and Sheikh Mohammed is leading the delegation from the United Arab Emirates. Sheikh Mohammed was welcomed by Prime Minister of Algeria Ayman ben Abdelrahman upon his arrival in Algiers at a formal ceremony held at the Houari Boumediene International Airport.
“Today, I participated in the Arab summit meetings in Algeria. The islands of one and a half million martyrs, and brave and proud people. Our stances over the past 50 years have been consistent in support of Arab issues and will remain. Consolidating our joint Arab action will remain a major goal in our foreign policy,” Sheikh Mohammed tweeted.
A high-level delegation led by Sheikh Mohammed is traveling with him, including Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Cabinet Affairs Mohammad bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, Diplomatic Advisor to the UAE President Dr. Anwar Gargash, Minister of Economy Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of State for International Cooperation Reem bint Ebrahim Al Hashimy, Minister of State Khalifa Shaheen Al Marar, and Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahy.
